Our breakdown service operates 24 hours a day, every day of the year, with staff who are trained and equipped with the most modern computer-based mapping technology available. With AutoAid you are free to choose the roadside help you need, without having to wait around for approval – or you can call our 24 hour helpline. Either way, just pay for it yourself safe in the knowledge that you’re insured and we will reimburse you in full.* We operate throughout the UK - using a network of more than 1250 breakdown recovery specialists. This policy is a pay and claim scheme and reimbursement takes approximately 10 days. You are covered in the vehicle you are driving at the time of the breakdown, as long as it is a vehicle within the terms and conditions of the policy. One call to us puts you in touch with our Rescue Control Centre at any time of day or night And by using the latest computer mapping technology, help can be on its way before you even put the phone down! Specifically, this is what your membership covers: Our Services in the UK If the vehicle that you, your legal spouse or civil partner are driving breaks down we can arrange and will reimburse for the services as shown below. The benefits and services apply to ANY breakdown, which occurs during the period of insurance and within the territorial limits Emergency Roadside Repairs We will arrange help at the scene of the breakdown and will arrange and reimburse any call-out fees and labour charges needed to start the vehicle. Recovery of the vehicle and its passengers If the vehicle cannot be repaired at the scene of the breakdown, we will arrange and reimburse any reasonable cost of taking the vehicle, you and up to 5 passengers from the place where the vehicle has broken down to anyone place you choose. Home Breakdowns If the vehicle breaks down at your home or within one mile of your home, we will arrange help and reimburse any call-out fees and labour charges needed to start the vehicle. If the vehicle cannot be repaired quickly at the scene of the breakdown, we will reimburse the reasonable cost of taking the vehicle to the nearest available garage.
